Marcia and Tom Blackwell are pursuing their passion for delicious and organic food through their company Blackwell's Organic Gelato.
Everyone loves ice cream, but Tom was different - he was lactose intolerant; so he could not indulge. An avid cook, Tom decided to try his hand at making a true gourmet dairy free ice cream at home.
The result - 11 delicious flavors of Blackwell’s Organic Soy Gelato and Fruit Sorbetto. Their frozen desserts have been available in gourmet food stores on the east coast and via mail order since 2006.
Blackwell's Organic uses only certified organic ingredients and certified FairTrade chocolate, coffee and sugar. Their “full flavored” gelatos and sorbets are free of preservatives, additives and extracts and are made with minimum impact on the environment.
